>> Destiny's Child split on amicable terms, and hope to reform again some time in the future. The have band ended their brief reunion by announcing earlier this month (June 05) they will split after a US tour to promote their fifth album Destiny's Fulfilled - made after a three year break. But the trio - Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams - haven't ruled out another reunion, because they all get on so well. Rowland tells MTV News, "All great things come to an end. Destiny's Child is more than just us being on stage or in the studio. We genuinely love each other and I'm going to see their kids, and their kids' kids, and they're going to see my kids. I love these girls." Knowles adds, "It's not our last record because one of us wants to go solo, or because we don't get along or because we don't like each other anymore, or because of cattiness. "Who knows? We're still very young, and it's not smart to say 'never'. It's not the end."

>> Singer Beyoncé Knowles is to auction off some of her most famous stage outfits in an effort to raise money for charity. Most of the designs that will go under the hammer were made by the singer's mother Tina Knowles. VH1's 'Save the Music' fund is set to benefit from the sale of the collection of clothes, which will include the gold gown that the singer wore to the 2004 Grammy Awards and the chainmail top featured on the cover of the 'Dangerously In Love' album. Knowles said: "It's actually very hard for me because I love these dresses. I'd like to bid on all of them."
>> Texan pop trio Destiny's Child planned to split last year (04) and named their last album Destiny Fulfilled as a clue to their demise. Sexy singer Beyonce Knowles admits the Survivor stars named their fifth disc after returning from their two-year hiatus to pursue solo projects, because they were aware the group wouldn't last forever. Earlier this month (June 05) the girls announced they will split in September (05) after completing their Destiny Fulfilled... And Lovin' It world tour. Knowles reveals, "This was something that we thought about. And it was really important for us to end this chapter when we were successful. "We don't like the word 'break-up', we'd like to say that it's the end of a chapter in our lives." The 23-year-old beauty denied rumours there was a rift in the group, saying, "(We're) not (splitting) because one person wants to go solo. Or not because we don't like each other. Or because we're not selling records anymore. But because it has to end at a certain point."

>> Sexy singer Beyonce Knowles has announced plans to take on a series of solo projects, just days after announcing that her group Destiny's Child will disband. The group announced earlier this month they'll no longer be a trio when their world tour comes to an end in September. Beyonce, who has enjoyed phenomenal success as a solo artist, is planning on going back to the studio to record a single for 'The Pink Panther' soundtrack, and she's hoping to do more music for the upcoming screen version of the musical 'Dreamgirls', which she starts shooting in December. She tells MTV Europe, "I grew up listening to the soundtrack and hearing about that play."I wish I could have seen it in the flesh, but they're redoing it, and I'm so excited. For the first time, I feel that I'm going to be challenged." But Beyonce is in no rush to record another solo album she adds, "I'm not sure if that's going to happen (anytime soon)."
>> Beyonce Knowles broke down in tears on TV when asked what she'll miss about Destiny's Child. The group appeared on MTV's Total Request Live to confirm reports they're splitting up reports Contactmusic.com. Beyonce started crying as bandmate Kelly Rowland explained: "This is not cool because we're very emotional." She added: "We call it the end of a chapter, which is still a beautiful thing because there's more chapters to come individually. "We still haven't had kids yet; we're not married. We're not breaking up. We're growing up."

>> In a surprise announcement from the stage during a show in Barcelona, Spain, on Saturday night, the members of Destiny's Child told fans they will disband at the conclusion of their current Destiny Fulfilled ... And Lovin' It Tour. DC member Kelly Rowland made the revelation before 16,000 fans at the Palau Sant Jordi, explaining that the concert would be the last European appearance by the group. In a statement released exclusively to MTV News on Sunday (June 12), the trio thanked their loyal fans and pledged sisterly devotion to one another. "We have been working together as Destiny's Child since we were 9, and touring together since we were 14," the statement read. "After a lot of discussion and some deep soul searching, we realized that our current tour has given us the opportunity to leave Destiny's Child on a high note, united in our friendship and filled with an overwhelming gratitude for our music, our fans, and each other. After all these wonderful years working together, we realized that now is the time to pursue our personal goals and solo efforts in earnest. ... No matter what happens, we will always love each other as friends and sisters and will always support each other as artists. We want to thank all of our fans for their incredible love and support and hope to see you all again as we continue fulfilling our destinies." The announcement is surprising not least because the trio had downplayed rumors of a split in the wake of member Beyoncé Knowles' multiplatinum 2003 solo LP, Dangerously in Love, although plans did call for the members to focus on solo projects at the end of this tour. Destiny's Child — Knowles, Rowland and Michelle Williams — have become one of the top-selling female pop vocal groups in history, with worldwide sales of more than 40 million records. They will retire the name after their upcoming U.S. tour and pursue individual careers in film, music, theater and television. Despite the announcement, the group's forthcoming U.S. tour — its first in four years — will go off as planned, kicking off on July 9 at the Savvis Center in St. Louis and wrapping up on September 10 at GM Place in Vancouver. Support acts on the tour include Amerie, Mario and Tyra.

>> Fans anticipating the release of Steve Martin's Pink Panther remake will have to wait a little bit longer - its release date has been pushed back until next year. 'The Pink Panther' was scheduled for a summer release, before being put back and then pushed forward again, with Sony bosses finally settling on August 5 for the opening night. But now bosses have decided to unveil the film on February 10, in the hope its box office revenue will match 'Hitch' and '50 First Dates', which both debuted for Sony around Valentine's Day. Distribution president Rory Bruer says the movie will give the studio a chance to develop its marketing campaign. The film also stars Beyonce Knowles, Jean Reno and Kevin Kline.

I'm proud I've helped make curvy women sexy again. But I hate the word bootylicious. Everyone shouts it wherever I go."
